Ben Garrett, DVM

Ben Garrett, DVM

Since 1987, Dr. Ben Garrett has been serving clients through Dothan Animal Hospital. Dr. Garrett graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and has served as the past presidents of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater Dothan Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Garrett and his wife Terri are active members of Covenant United Methodist Church. He has three children – Taylor, Sarah, and James. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, hunting, fishing, and time with family. He also enjoys playing guitar with Covenant’s praise and worship band.

Dr. Garrett and Terri have one big brown dog named Kaci. Kaci loves to see how many stuffed animals she can carry around the house.

 

 

Brad Harris, DVM

Brad Harris, DVM

​Dr. Brad Harris has worked with Dothan Animal Hospital for more than 20 years. He’s a 1990 graduate of Auburn University and is a member of the Greater Dothan Veterinary Medical Association and the Southeast Alabama Veterinary Medical Association.

He and his wife, Sharla, have three sons – Jacob, Connor, and Benjamin. Dr. Harris is a deacon at First Baptist Church in Headland and enjoys fishing, golf, family time, playing piano and reading. He also officiates high school football.

Dr. Harris has two furry family members – Josephine (cat) and Bettis (dog).

 

 

Christa Bragg, DVM

Christa Bragg, DVM

​Dr. Bragg grew up in Enterprise, AL, where she graduated high school. From there she attended Enterprise State Junior College for 2 years before transferring to Troy State University. She graduated from Troy in 1994, she was then accepted to Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1998. Dr. Bragg practiced in Ozark, AL from graduation until 2007 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that time, she also had a 5 year old daughter and decided to take a break from practicing and raise her. She started back practicing in 2015. She came to Dothan Animal Hospital in January of 2021 and started to work with us full time January 2022. She has a special interest in feline medicine and exotics, but loves her canine patients too!

Dr. Bragg currently resides in Enterprise with her husband of 27 years, Spencer, on their family farm. She has 8 inside cats, 2 pit bulls, 4 outside cats and an African Serval named Mufassa. Dr. Bragg also breeds Western Pleasure Quarter Horses and has chickens that she collects eggs from.

Dr. Bragg has a daughter, Madison, that attends Troy State University where she is majoring in nursing. Dr. Bragg also helps her husband run their business South Alabama Pluming & Electric, LLC when she is not at the clinic.
